SENI BERTERASKAN KOMUNITI: PEMBERDAYAAN MODAL SOSIAL MELALUI NILAI-NILAI PERPADUAN SOSIAL DALAM PROGRAM LENDU INTERNATIONAL ART CAMP. (Community-Based Arts: Social Capital Empowerment Through Social Cohesion Values in Lendu International Art Camp Program)

Abstract

Seni berteraskan komuniti diasosiasikan sebagai amalan seni berlandaskan gagasan “seni untuk masyarakat”. Bentuk praktis seni rupa ini di upayakan sebagai peranti dalam pengembangan modal sosial masyarakat melalui proses kesenian yang mengarah kepada proses memperdalam perhubungan serta jaringan keterikatan sosial warga terlibat. Kajian ini berfokus kepada menggali potensi yang dimiliki projek seni Lendu International Art Camp(LIAC)#3 dalam membangunkan serta membina perhubungan dan nilai perpaduan sosial masyarakat dalam kalangan peserta terlibat melalui kegiatan kesenian yang dijalankan. Kajian melibatkan sampel purposive dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan skor min tertinggi adalah “Menjalin Ukhuwah Baharu” dicapai bagi tiga kategori peserta yang terlibat; pelajar (4.56), agensi luar (4.54) dan pengunjung luar (4.45). Manakala dalam kalangan orang kampung, skor min tertinggi adalah “Merapatkan Ukhuwah Antara Warga” iaitu (4.46). Implikasi kajian ini mengemukakan bahawa, kegiatan berorientasi kepada elemen kerjasama, toleransi, kemuafakatan serta kebertanggungjawaban dalam kegiatan yang berteraskan nilai budaya setempat berupaya menarik proses partisipasi khalayak seterusnya membina kepada pertumbuhan nilai perpaduan sosial. Kehilangan nilai estetik-artistik sebagai proses pendekatan dalam membangunkan kegiatan bagi menarik penglibatan peserta turut menjejaskan impak bagi membangunkan jaringan perhubungan serta keterikatan sosial dalam kalangan masyarakat terlibat.

(Community-Based Arts: Social Capital Empowerment Through Social Cohesion Values in Lendu International Art Camp Program)

Community-based art was associated with a practice of “art for society”. This form of art practice is used as a tool in the development of social capital of society through the art process that leads to deepened the social network and the relationship of community involved. This research is focusing on the potential of the Lendu International Art Camp (LIAC)#3 in developing and also building the relationship and social cohesion among the community through art activities conducted. The research involved purposive sampling and was descriptively analyzed. The result shows that the highest mean score was “Bonding New Relationship” which involved three categories of participants; students (4.56), agencies (4.54) and visitors (4.45), while the highest mean score among the villagers was “Bridging Relationship Between Citizen” with the score of (4.46). The implication of this research suggests that the orientation activities on the elements of cooperation, tolerance, consensus and accountability in activities based on local culture value are able to attract the process of public participation, thereby building on the growth of social cohesion. In a process of approach, the lost of artistic aesthetic value in developing any activities to attract participations has affected the impact of developing social ties within the communities involved.
