Catatan dan Deskripsi Istilah-istilah yang Berkaitan dengan Sagu dalam Masyarakat Melanau ( Notes and Description of the Terms Related to the Sago among the Melanau)
Abstract

The description of the sago terms divided into four categories, namely: (1) The plant and its taxonomy; (2) The Harvesting Process; (3) Processing sago and its products; and, (4) Ethno-cultural Terms. The elaboration covers the aspect of linguistics, etymology, ethnography and technology. The research which based on data collected in a qualitative research project, featuring face to face interviews in situ learnt that many of these lexical items gradually ignored by the younger generation.
