Penerokaan Amalan Zikir Dan Perubahan Tingkah Laku Dalam Proses Kepulihan Penagihan Dalam Kalangan Penagih Bebas Dadah (The exploration of zikir’s practice and the behavorial changes on recovery process of addiction among former drug addicts)
Abstract
Faktor keagamaan telah dikenalpasti menyumbang dalam proses kepulihan daripada penagihan dan kajian-kajian empirikal telah mula dilakukan untuk meneliti peranannya dalam membantu kepulihan dan mengurangkan relaps. Kajian ini bertujuan meneroka pengalaman amalan keagamaan yang dilakukan oleh bekas penagih dadah dan perubahan tingkah laku yang membantu mereka bebas dadah. Kajian ini sepenuhnya menggunakan kaedah kualitatif iaitu teknik pengumpulan data secara temu bual separa berstruktur. Seramai 10 orang bekas penagih dadah yang bebas dadah terlibat dalam kajian ini. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis interpretasi fenomenologi. Hasil kajian mendapati faktor kerohanian utama yang menjadi sumber kepulihan membantu bekas penagih dadah pulih adalah amalan melazimi berzikir. Melazimkan berzikir adalah sentiasa mengingati Allah dan hasilnya kebergantungan kepada dadah dapat dihindari. Perubahan tingkah laku berlaku apabila responden melazimi berzikir kerana ia memberi kesan dengan cuba menjauhkan diri daripada golongan penagih dan boleh menerima teguran positif untuk berubah. Dapatan kajian ini memberi implikasi dalam konteks rawatan dan pemulihan penagihan dengan mempertimbangkan amalan kerohanian dalam modul keagamaan supaya dapat menguatkan keazaman penagih untuk melawan nafsu ketagihan dan pulih daripada penagihan dadah.

The exploration of zikir’s practice and the behavorial changes on recovery process of addiction among former drug addicts
ABSTRACT
Religiosity factors have been identified to contribute towards recovery from addiction and empirical studies have been conducted to examine its’ role in assisting recovery and reducing relapse. This study aimed in exploring the experiences of religious practices among former drug addicts and the behavioral changes that help them to be free of drug addiction. This study fully employed the qualitative method in data collection through semi structured interview. A total of ten informants comprising of former drug addicts were involved in this study. Data were analysed using interpretative phenomenological analysis technique. Results showed that the most effective religious practices that can help former drug addicts recover from addiction were the practices of constant meditation (zikr). The practice of meditation or zikr was by always remembering Allah and this can prevent them from thoughts about drugs. Behavioral changes occurred when respondents practised constant meditation as it influenced them to distance themselves from drug addicts and can accept positive advices to change. Findings of this study provide implications in the context of addiction treatment and rehabilitation by including these religious practices in modules in the effort of strengthening their will to fight against addiction and recover from addiction.
